DISCORD RICH PRESENCE
Put your project on your Discord profile.
Give people a glimpse of what you are building: a game, a tool, a model or a side project. wyd sends the public details you choose to your Discord desktop client.
What appears on the activity card?
Your activity can include a title such as “Building Nightshift,” a short description, project artwork, a smaller app badge and elapsed sharing time. Discord shows wyd as the application name. The project title is a separate field; it does not rename your Discord account.
Set up your first activity
- Install wyd from your purchase receipt and open the Discord desktop client on the same computer.
- In wyd’s Discord tab, enter an activity title and description that you want other people to see.
- Add project artwork and a badge, such as Visual Studio Code or Terminal. Review the preview before sharing.
- Choose the activity label and whether to show elapsed time, then enable sharing.
- Open your profile in Discord and inspect the activity card. Pause sharing in wyd when you want to remove it.
Project artwork and app badges
The large image represents your project; the small badge can show the tool you are using. They are separate from your Discord avatar. A local file preview is not a hosted image: use a supported hosted asset or public HTTPS image URL for publishing. See the artwork guide for image preparation.
Why do I see two activity cards?
Another app or presence utility may also be publishing. Each can create its own activity. Pause the other publisher if you want only wyd’s card; changing a profile in wyd does not stop unrelated apps.
Why is the timer different?
The timer measures the current sharing session. It is not a record of all the time you have worked on a project. Pausing or choosing another profile starts a new session; a normal reconnect keeps the current timer.
What if my activity does not appear?
Confirm Discord’s desktop app is open, review its activity-sharing settings, and check wyd’s connection status. Try pausing and reconnecting. Discord controls the final presentation; the website editor does not publish to Discord.
Slack and Teams are different
Those integrations publish status messages, rather than Discord-style artwork cards. Read the Slack and Teams setup guide.
